The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction Rod is a direct replacement for the stock recoil rod and does not change the configuration of the pistol.

This system works due to the multi spring intricate rod (3 springs) and controls the functionality of the pistol. The third spring which is contained within the rod controls the movement of the slide so it never rams on the frame.

The system includes 1 washer and a safety pin preinstalled on the rod, 1 spare washer and 4 external springs. The washer is mandatory to be installed always. The external springs are different in length with the longer offering heavier slide travel and locking than the shorter spring.
